Soda Pop Top Projects

Hello, and thanks for stopping by. Today I have a few different projects made with the cute Soda Pop Tops. They are all the rage right now. I have only used the larger of the two sizes, but plan on using the minis real soon. The one inch circle punch fits the inside perfectly. I had so many stamps I wanted to try but ran out of the tops. (I ordered more during the free shipping weekend). These little jewels make terrific gifts. They are fun, and fairly easy to make. I think the hardest thing for me was adding the jump ring to the top. Sometimes I am all thumbs. The first step is to flatten your top in the Big Shot. I used no tabs with the open top facing up, and ran it through. One at a time is best. Stamp your image(s) onto card stock or DSP. Pounce VersaMark ink over top of image, add clear embossing powder, then heat set. You have to clear emboss your image, otherwise the ink will bleed. If you use StazOn you can skip the clear embossing step. Punch out image using 1" Circle Punch. Adhere to Pop Top using mini glue dots or Tombow Glue. Use a 1/16th hole punch to punch a small hole in the rim of the Pop Top. Pour Crystal Effects over project making sure there are no air bubbles or empty spots. The drying time is several hours. I usually like to just let the project dry overnight to be safe. Have fun!
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
