National Chocolate Day

Happy National Chocolate Day! Yep, that's right. It's July 7th. Who knew? Not me. I saw it on an ad and thought how fun to have a day dedicated to chocolate.
Several of my friends that share my chocolate addiction have birthdays this month so I thought I would make couple of cards today in honor of the occasion. I have also had a few questions about the Pop n' Cuts dies on page 188. I just used the base die for these cards. It can be used alone or with one of the wonderful inserts. The base itself is A2 size when folded. As you can see, it has a marvelous curved edge along with slits at the bottom to hold it closed. You can get two cards from one 8.5 X 11 if you place the cardstock carefully enough. I saw an idea on Pinterest about using an index card on the inside of your card so that you would have lines to work with. I only had the small cards so used a piece of notebook paper to cut out my Top Note with. It came out real good. I'm sure the thicker, large index cards would be better.
Of course I made the cupcakes chocolate by coloring them with a Stampin' Write Marker. The DSP cut out with the Top Note Die completed the theme.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Now go and enjoy some chocolate!
