DIY Tissue Box Covers with Designer Series Paper

I love finding projects that take beautiful Designer Series Paper and turn it into something useful—and this tissue box cover is definitely one of those projects!

For the first project, I used the August Product of the Month, Glow of Harvest Designer Series Paper. The beautiful floral and autumn-inspired designs make this tissue box perfect for adding a little seasonal décor to your home.

I followed a tutorial posted on the Stampin’ Up! Facebook page back in June by Anja Beckmann. I followed the cutting guides she provided, but I ran into a little problem: I ended up short on the particular paper design I wanted to use!

So, I had to get creative and make a different lid for my box. And I think it turned out beautifully!

Making the Lid

For my version of the lid, I started with a 6 9/16" x 6 9/16" square of Cajun Craze Cardstock.

I scored it at 1" on all four sides to create the lid.

For the Designer Series Paper, I used:

  • 4 3/8" x 4 3/8" for the top
  • Four pieces measuring 3/4" x 4 3/8" for the sides

I used an oval die to cut the opening in the center of the lid for the tissue to come through.

I actually love that I had to make a different lid because it shows that you can easily adapt the project when you don't have quite enough of your favorite DSP. Sometimes those little crafting surprises lead to something even better!

Make One for Any Season!

The best thing about this project is that you can use any Designer Series Paper to decorate your tissue box. Think Christmas, spring, birthdays, a baby shower, patriotic décor—or simply paper that matches your home.

You could make one for any season and any reason!

And because the box is covered with DSP, it's a great way to use some of those beautiful papers that you don't want to hide away in a drawer.

Watch the Tutorial

I've made a YouTube video showing just how easy it is to put one of these tissue box covers together.

I'd love for you to head over and watch the video. And while you're there, please subscribe, like, comment, and sharemy videos. Your support means so much to me!

I hope you'll give this project a try and make a tissue box cover of your own. I'd love to see what Designer Series Paper you choose!

Happy Crafting!

PocketBac Hand Sanitizer Boxes

I love making little gifts that are both useful and fun, and these adorable hand sanitizer boxes fit the bill! They are designed to hold a PocketBac Hand Sanitizer from Bath & Body Works, making them perfect for a quick gift, party favor, stocking stuffer, or just a little “thinking of you” treat.

For these samples, I used a piece of the August Product of the Month, Glow of Harvest Designer Series Paper. The paper has beautiful seasonal colors and a touch of shimmer that makes these little boxes extra special.

The sentiment comes from Soiree Salutations, a brand-new stamp set debuting September 1st. This set coordinates with the 3 Banner Punch and includes 17 holiday sentiments, making it a versatile addition to your stamping collection.

Project Measurements

Box Bottom – Cardstock

  • 4-3/4" x 3-3/4"
  • Score at 1" on all four sides

Slider Top – Designer Series Paper or Cardstock

  • 6-1/4" x 2-3/4"
  • Score at 1", 2-1/8", 3-7/8", and 5"

The best part about these little boxes is how easily you can customize them! Change the Designer Series Paper, colors, and sentiment, and you can create them for any season or any reason.

I've also made a YouTube video showing you how to make these boxes, along with a couple of other samples to give you some ideas. If you enjoy the project, I would truly appreciate it if you would subscribe to my channel, like the video, leave me a comment, and share it with your crafty friends. Your support means so much to me!

Happy stamping! 💕

Easy Cut Away Birthday Card with Glow of Harvest DSP

I love a card design that looks elegant but is actually easy to make—and this Easy Cut Away Card is definitely a game changer!

For this card, I used a beautiful piece of the August Product of the Month, Glow of Harvest 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper. This paper has a gorgeous shimmer that adds just the right amount of elegance to a card.

And here’s a great deal: You can get the Glow of Harvest DSP for just $5 with a $75 order (before tax, shipping, and discounts) during August!

A Simple Card with Lots of Details

My card base is Crumb Cake Cardstock, with a strip of Pecan Pie Cardstock across the bottom. I embossed the Pecan Pie layer using the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder, which will be available September 1st when the new Stampin’ Up! catalog goes live. I love the texture it adds!

For the focal point, I layered labels from the Sweet Words & Labels Dies and added my birthday sentiment from the Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set.

To finish the card, I fussy cut the leaves and acorns directly from the Glow of Harvest Designer Series Paper and added them around the sentiment. The shimmer in the paper really makes those little details stand out.

I think this design would also make a beautiful masculine card. Just change the sentiment and you've got a great card for a birthday, thank-you, or other occasion.

The Easy Cut Away Card

This card is so much easier to make than it looks! In fact, I have an older YouTube video titled “Easy Cut Away Cards”that shows you how to make one of these cards step by step.

If you haven't seen it yet, head over to my YouTube channel and check it out. And while you're there, I'd love for you to subscribe, like, comment, and share!

I would love to see what you create with this easy card design. Give an Easy Cut Away Card a try and put your own creative spin on it!

A Little Glow of Harvest for Fall

I’m getting a jump on my Fall cardmaking with this beautiful Glow of Harvest Designer Series Paper, and it truly lives up to its name! The paper has a lovely shimmer that adds just a little extra glow to those gorgeous Fall colors.

Glow of Harvest is the August Product of the Month. When your order reaches $75, you can add this special DSP for just $5. You’ll receive 12 sheets—2 each of 6 beautiful designs. The paper is one-sided, so you can enjoy those pretty patterns without worrying about choosing which side to use.

For this card, I used just a little bit of one of the designs to create a Double Z Fold Card. Sometimes a small piece of beautiful DSP is all you need to make a big impact!

The Details

The card base is Golden Glow Cardstock, and I used the Scalloped Blooms Bundle for the dies and sentiment. I also added three gorgeous leaves from the Lustrous Leaves Hot Foil Dies for a little extra Fall foliage.

Here are the measurements:

  • Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
  • Score card base at: 2 1/8" and 4 1/4"
  • Z-fold strip: 8 1/2" x 1"
  • Score strip at: 2 1/4", 4 1/4", and 6 1/4"

This is such an easy and fun Fun Fold to put together, and I love how it gives the card a little more dimension when it opens.

Want to Make One?

I’ll be sharing a YouTube video later this week showing you exactly how I put this Double Z Fold Card together. Be sure to check back so you can see just how easy this Fun Fold really is!

Double Your Rewards Points!

And here’s another reason to shop August 19–21!

Stampin’ Up! is offering DOUBLE Reward Points for three days only—August 19th through the 21st! This is a great opportunity to rack up those points and save them for something special later.

Reward Points are good for one year, and you do need to opt into the program. It’s easy to do once you’re on the Stampin’ Up! website.

If you need help finding the Rewards program or placing your order, let me know! I’d be happy to help.

Happy stamping!
