Record Breaking Card

Woo hoo! Today is the day I will leave for Salt Lake City for the Stampin' Up! Convention. The theme of this year's convention is "Be the Difference". One of the ways attendees will be making a difference is by helping to set the official world record for simultaneously sending the most greeting cards from a single location. I knew I wanted to make a card to send to a very special person in my life to help set this world record. I chose my 15month old grandson. Although he isn't old enough to understand the logistics of this project, I wanted to make him part of the event. That being said, I made this tent card for him. It is cute, fun, and colorful. He does indeed make me smile!

Colorful Notepad

Hi all! While I had out the supplies for my friend Renee's birthday card, I decided to make a quick notepad. Well, it turned out to be not so quick, but I like the results. I was just going to cover the existing pad, but couldn't get it straight for the life of me. I ended up ripping the covers and pages out, trimming the nibs with my paper cutter, and re-binding the whole thing. I wasn't going to let this project get the best of me!

Hello, and welcome. Today's card uses many of the wonderful  products that are in the new Stampin' Up! Catalog. Today is also the last day you can order from the old one. Technically, you can place an order from both today, so have fun shopping.
I started with the fabulous pre-made Note Cards that can be found on page 162. These beauties are 5 X 3 1/2", and come with an envelope. The card has thicker cardstock for layering. Very quick and easy to use. At $5.95 for 20, they only come out to about 35 cents for a card with an envelope...can't beat that.
