Me & You Scrapbook Page

Hello and welcome! Today's project is a traditional 12 x 12 scrapbook page made with non-traditional products. The large bracket, side borders, and the yellow open frame were cut out with the Silhouette Cameo from My Digital Studio downloads. The yellow rectangle mat came from one of the Framelits in our Project Life Cards & Labels set. A little stamping, a few punches and embellishments, and this page was all set.  I will be the first to admit that I haven't done much traditional scrapbooking in a while. I gravitate to the digital, and now to our fabulous Project Life divided pages. The good thing is that all my pages will fit in my new Project Life Album. I will definitely mix them all up, as each style is just as fun to me.

So Glad Hybrid

Middle of the week already...my time flies. I have another hybrid card for you today. I used this week's sketch from the Sunday Stamps Challenge Blog. Did you notice by new badge on the right from Sunday Stamps? My card was a top pick last week! Thank you ladies.  I stamped the En Francais background on the card base, and added glitter to the butterflies to make it fancy.  I designed the middle panel on MDS using the Bloomin' Marvelous Stamp Set that comes on the One Big Sale-A-Bration 2013 Digital Disc. It is free right now. There are 19 different items to choose from in the SAB brochure. You have until mid March to take advantage of this fabulous offering.
I have another mini waterfall album to share with you soon. Thank you for stopping by!

Work of (He)art

Today I have an MDS project for you. It is for the challenge at MDS.net. We were challenged to use any downloads from this past December. I chose the A to Z Wordpress download. They work well with the theme of my page. My husband refurbished his old rocking chair so that we could give it to our grandson for Christmas. It had a broken slat, and was in need of refinishing. It came out looking brand new. He did such a good job. I know it will be used and enjoyed for many years to come.
Today is also new download day. Be sure and click on the MDS box on the right side to see the new goodies.
I hope you have a very creative, happy day! Thank you for stopping by.

Other Mis-stitched Page

Hello everyone! I have been busy, busy, learning and experimenting on my new Macbook Pro. The more I learn on it, the better I like it. I also took the plunge and loaded MDS II plus on it. I'm loving the new features. I am definitely giving my brain a workout these days.
I made this page to match the Mis-stitched layout posted earlier. I'm working on an 8.5 X 11 album as I'm learning the computer and new MDS. You can try out MDS II yourself for free. Just go to the Stampin' Up website, create an account, or sign in, and the rest is easy peasy. Click on the free 30 day MDS II trial, and you'll be walked through the process.

My Secret Studio Assignment 2

This evening's post was made for Erica's, My Secret Studio class that I'm currently taking online. Her second assignment was all about grounding and working with groups. A friend of mine, Dorthy, recently made a mini scrapbook insert about the shrinking bear for her grandson, and I just had to copy the overall idea. It was pretty easy since I have the cutest subject ever! I only used a few elements for this page:  Square punch, Star punch, Lauren's Letters Alphabet Punches, and the DSP is from Ahoy Matey.

MDS Mis-stitched

Hello, and welcome to my blog. Today's scrapbook page is an altered designer page from the Mis-stitched download. I took the pre-designed page, removed some of the text, changed the colors, and DSP, removed some frilly elements, and finished off by adding my own elements. It was quite speedy. I am very pleased with the results. I'm planning on upgrading to MDS II very soon, but am on the fence about which to go with. I've heard rave reviews about all the new features, and will let you know when I actually take the plunge.
Thank you very much for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

MDS Page 2

Happy Saturday, and happy Mother's Day weekend! Today's MDS page matches the one in the last post. It took me quite a while to make to get it just the way I wanted since it wasn't a pre-made page. The background paper and circle stitching came from the Downtown Grunge kit, and the banners, and flourishes are from the Grad Party kit. I also used the Whisper White Zig Zag Stitch and Old Oive Brads that are included in the original MDS downloads.
Have a wonderful, happy Mother's Day! Thank you for stopping by.

My Digital Studio Page

Hello, and welcome to my blog. Today's project couldn't have been any easier! I recently purchased some new downloads to add to my Stampin Up's My Digital Studio program. This design comes in the Grad Party Kit. All I did was take the pre-designed 12 X 12 page, and replace the grad words with words that fit my theme. Most of them are stamps. I did add a text box for my grandson's weight, but the other personalized text boxes just needed filling in. So easy, and I love the way it came out.
I've gotten a sneak peek at the new catalog, and it's amazing. As a demonstrator, I was able to pre order some goodies. They arrive this Friday...woo hoo. You ladies that are club members will be getting one of the new catalog's later this month.
Have a great day, and thank you for visiting!

My Digital Studio Hybrid Card

Today's card is a super simple, and fast design. I created the background using one of the basic shaped punches on My Digital Studio. After I had them where I wanted them, I just filled them in with DSP. I added the sentiment, but cut it out again to pop on top. I cut out the design with one of the Frame die cuts, then matted it with the next size up. The speckled effect on the card base comes from the Color Spritzer Tool. I then added a few score lines on the base with my SU Score Tool. Very, very easy.
