Memory Making Monday - Taking The Next Step

Picture 1 shows the only empty spot in our bonus room where I could add a table. The area on the left is my Big Shot station. Our computer desk is on the right.

Picture 2 shows my scrapbooking supplies that I would like to have all in one spot.

Picture 3 is my finished, designated scrapbooking area. I pulled two of the three drawer units from the Big Shot area that were in need of reorganizing anyway. I put embellishments, Project Life cards, photos, and other items that I wanted nearby in the drawers, and even have one empty drawer. I love the consolidation. I let go of a lot that I know I will never use. Feels good!

I took the next step on my own Project Photo Rescue that I wrote about week before last. You can read all about it on Becky Higgin's Blog. She is the creator of Project Life. Go to beckyhiggins.com and click on the blog to read the artical. It's very lengthy, but I'm sharing it because I know every scrapbooker will benefit from some of the information just as much as I did.

I have looked through my albums, and decided that the best direction for me to go is a combination of digital, and physical Project Life style scrapbooking. I'm sure I will want to create a traditional page now and then, but that's the beauty of this memory making process. Those traditional pages can be incorporated right into my 12 x 12 family album. It is the Black Faux Leather 12" x 12" pictured on page 145 in the current Stampin' Up! Catalog.

The next step in the process was to organize and prepare the space. I am lucky to have a wonderful craft room. It's pretty well organized for card making and paper crafting, but I didn't have a dedicated scrapbooking station. I think that will help me keep on top of my memory making goals better. I tend to be a scatterbrain when working on projects, and jump from one project to the next without completing them. I am sure this will help me stay on task better.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.
