Memory Making Success
This past Saturday was National Scrapbooking Day. I worked on various projects throughout the day, and will call it a great success. Do I still have more to do? Of course, I do, but I made a lot of progress. I thought I would share a bit of my game plan with you so that can take away whatever helps you.
My first step, early last week, was to set goals, and make a plan. Becky Higgins from Project Life suggests that we begin with the end in mind. I've used that method for quite a while now, and it really helps me. My current family scrapbook is just about caught up because of the previous statement. It is an 8 x 8 Project Life Album with ring binders. It is exclusively made up of digital pages designed from the Project Life App on my phone. I started the album in 2016, and plan on using that this year as well. One of my goals was to bring it up to date completely. While I fell a bit short, I did get a lot of 2017 done. Here is the last layout I made. Now all I have to do is get it printed. After that it is as easy as slipping it into a page protector.
I also wanted to complete my granddaughter's first year album. It is a combination of traditional, and Project Life Pocket Pages. I had all the pictures printed that I was missing, and simply slipped them into the pockets chronologically. I plan on giving my daughter that album on Mother's Day. Done, and done!
I had a few pages in two other albums that had holes in them. One was our Family Album, and the other was strictly Christmas. I made the two pocket pages shown at the top of this post for each of those albums. They are both hybrid as well, meaning they are a combination of Traditional, Digital, and Pocket Page layouts.
I also made two traditional scrapbook pages for my family album that goes through 2016. Just a couple more additions to that album, and it is history.
So there it is! If I can help you with any of your paper crafting projects, please let me know. I will be happy to share whatever information, and tips that I have.
Thanks for joining me today!

Stampin' Up! Year End Closeouts Plus Project Life Cards
You can create some terrific cards in minutes, just like the two above. I used some pocket cards from our Project Life By Stampin' Up! Card Packs for both. I simply stamped the sentiment from our Sheltering Tree Stamp set, thankful for you, with coordinating Island Indigo Ink on the bicycle card.
The card with numbers was in the same set. I used our new Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut an oval on the second "Awesome" card, then simply raised it using Stampin' Dimensionals. The card bases were on special from Michaels so I stocked up a few months back. Can't get much easier than that!
It can get better than that though - there are several Project Life By Stampin' Up! Card Packs on sale at the Stampin' Up! Year End Closeout Sale.

Stampin' Up! had been doing a little bit of cleaning, and they've got some great deals to offer you! The Year-End Closeouts will include holiday retiring products, clearance rack items, and current high-inventory catalog products. Plus, select items will only be available while supplies last.
I also have a special for the month of December. This month, I am offering the supplies to make the Snowman Box shown below.
You have two ways of receiving the kit:
1. Order $50 from my online store between December 1 - December 31, get the kit for FREE.
2. Join or belong to my team Jeans Jewels! They will get it for FREE!

Memory Making Monday - Works In Progress
Hello, and welcome! I am happy to report that I can see a light at the end of my own personal memory making catch up projects. I have been trying to follow the advice that Becky Higgins has been sharing. She is the creator of the Project Life System. I am by no means finished, but this is the best shape I've been in for several years.
The page at the top is one of my first Project Life creations. Sure it was easy to slip the photos into the pocket pages, and add journaling to the cards, but I had already gotten off on the wrong foot. I had about 90 photos printed in true digital style. That meant each picture had about a 3/8" white border on the bottom. I covered most of them up with card stock, or Washi Tape like the one above. That meant an extra step for quite a few of my pages because I didn't want to get the pictures re-printed. Oh well, such as life. I had three Project Life by Stampin' Up! pocket pages, and one traditional 12 X 12 page, front and back for my grandson's 2nd birthday. While I love the pages, and won't do anything to change them, I have made quite the transformation. I have found that I get just as much satisfaction by using fewer pictures to preserve my memories.
The second page was made with the Project Life App on my iPhone. It is 8 x 8, and has been ordered along with 12 other pages that I made with the App. I am so pleased that I will simply slip them into my album when my order arrives. I will share that with you when they come.
I still have some catching up to do with my 2014 - 2015 family album, but now I know that it will get finished. By sticking to my goals, and going forward with my present system in place, I will catch up for good. You can do the same thing with your own memory making journey. I'll be happy to help in any way I can.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Memorial Day.

Memory Making Monday - Paper Pumpkin Storage
I have used our 6 x 8 Project Life Albums along with the Photo Pocket Pages for quite a while. Being able to slip the stamp sets into an album right away really helps me keep them in one place. I took the time recently to add the indexing information that you see on the photo above. One of my fellow SU demonstrators was kind enough to compile all this information from the very first kit. (March 2013).
I printed, and cut out the names, then simply added them to the Project Life 3" x 4" Grid Cards.
Paper Pumpkin Kits sure have come a long way. The stamps sets are now photopolymer instead of the clear mount. They just keep getting better and better.

Memory Making Monday - Project Life App Page
Hello, and happy Memory Making Monday. Today I have a page that I designed on my phone using the Project Life App. I have about 12 more ready to be printed. They will be 8" x 8", and will simply slip into my album. This has been a lifesaver for me as far as memory making goes. I made quite a few on the plane when I was traveling back home from Salt Lake City.
Lately I have found that I am slipping back into bad, old habits again with my memory making habits, and supplies. Even after re-organizing a couple of months ago, I still feel like I have too much to catch up with. I'm doing a lot of procrastinating, and sticking pictures, and memorabilia into drawers. Making these wonderful pages on my phone has helped me feel like there's light at the end of the tunnel. I had planned on using the app for most of this year's events. I also thought I would stay as current as I can, and work backwards. I just have to remind myself to stick to the plan.
How are your projects coming along? I hope you're finding your memory making journey a peaceful, rewarding one. The happier, and more excited we are, the more rewarding it gets.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.

Memory Making Monday - Helpful Video
I think you're going to love today's video by Stampin' Up!'s Donna Griffith. The hint about using one of our Clear Envelopes is ingenious. I always have a couple of packages at hand. They are only $5 for 50. The good news is that they are in the new, upcoming catalog at the same price.
How are your Memory Making projects going? I hope you have gotten a good start.
Most of the Project Life Card Packs, Accessories, and Stamps are retiring. Don't worry, because there are plenty of wonderful new sets coming. The divided page refills, and albums are also being carried over. Do check the Retiring Products List by visiting my online store. There are plenty of products on sale. Some are up to 50% off.

Memory Making Monday - 2016 Family Album
Hello, and welcome to my Memory Making Monday post. I had a few questions about the album I started using the Project Life App. I bought the canvas album at A.C.Moore's. It is a top fill 8 x 8 made by ScrapIt. I dolled it up using some Project Life insert cards. Although you can't tell, the middle white background is embossed with glossy white. Really quite pretty. That 4 x 6 card, and the gold 3 x 4 overlay came from the free Sale.A.Bration Memories in the Making Set. The sentiment card is from our Moments Like These Card Collection. I used our Large Numbers Framelits Die Set to cut the 2016 out of Gold Glimmer Paper. I ran the numbers through my Xyron Sticker Machine to adhere them to the album.
I'm not sure how many pages this album will hold. It is post bound so I don't want to make it too thick. The good thing is that I bought two. If you purchased one, the second was 50% off. I have cut back, and become much more selective with the photos going onto a page. Hopefully two will be enough for the year.
Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.

Memory Making Monday - Project Life App
Happy Memory Making Monday! Today I am showing you the start of our 2016 family album. I used my iphone along with the Project Life App to make these pages. They are 8" x 8". I had them printed through the app as well. The pictures don't do them justice because of the glare. The album is an inexpensive top loading style that I found at our local A.C.Moore. After assessing my memory making goals, I decided to go with the size and digital style for 2016. As I have stated before, I will continue to combine traditional style scrapbooking, Project Life, and digital for current as well as future projects. Having these goals in mind has helped me get pages into albums. That's what it's all about. Do what works for you. Just get it done so you, your friends, and family can enjoy the memories.
I am happy to help you in any way I can. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day.

Memory Making Monday - This Will Crack You Up
Our whole family was together Easter weekend, because two members share a birthday the 26th of March. My beautiful daughter, and her sweet nephew, (our grandson) both have that birthday. It was so fun to be together to celebrate.
Easter day we had brunch at our other daughter's house. It was a wonderful, fun day. The table looked fabulous, and we even had Easter poppers. They came with the little finger puppets, and jokes shown below.
I knew I wanted to incorporate these items in my Project Life scrapbook, and send some to my daughter for her album as well. I used some base cards from the Happiness Is Card Collection, and simply added the little items to them. The only extra paper I used was a piece of Gumball Green from the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack. It didn't take me any time at all, and I know the inserts will look great alongside the pictures.
Have fun with your memory making. Don't be like the Goldberg's in the video above. Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful day.

Memory Making Monday - The Little Things
I am really simplifying my memory making methods lately. By setting goals, and prioritizing, I found that I can really get a lot done. I am very pleased with the overall results.
The cards above are from the Stampin' Up! Moments Like These Card Collection, and Accessory Pack. I die cut the 2016 using our Gold Glimmer Paper along with the Large Numbers Framelits Dies. I added a few sequins from the Accessory Pack right on a few of the black dots that were already on the card. The little sticker on the picture is also from the Accessory Pack. I simply attached the you are here card on top of another card from the collection. They all look so good in the album. It was those little additions that made a difference. So fast, so easy, but more importantly, I'm getting my pictures in albums.

Memory Making Monday - Getting It Done
I am happy to say that my personal #projectphotorescue is coming along nicely. I am making my way through from present times, and working backwards. That is working for me. The ultimate goal is to get my pictures into albums so that everyone can enjoy them.
The picture above is horrible quality, I know. I showed you how I was embellishing some of the Project Life by Stampin' Up! card inserts to use for a regular photo album. All I had to do was get some photos printed, and slip them in. It looks so good in person. It gives you alternate media to work with, while still making it quick and easy.
It really is possible to get to your happy place as far as memory making goes. Don't stress out. Make some goals, set aside some time, and get started. It will feel so good, I promise.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.

Memory Making Monday - Moments Like These
Did you know that you could use our Project Life Card Collection products in a regular picture album? It didn't dawn on me until just recently. I found the lovely picture album above at Tuesday Morning recently. The wonderful quote drew me in. When I picked it up, and opened it, a light bulb went off. The 4 x 6 pockets are perfect for Project Life Cards.
I used the Moments Like These products, Sale.A.Bration FREE gold glitter tape, Confetti Hearts Border Punch, and Gold Glimmer Paper to fancy the cards up a bit. Project Life is meant to be simple and easy, and overall that's the way I want to keep it. It didn't take me long to embellish the cards just a bit. I mainly used the goodies that came in the accessory pack along with the cards from the Card Collection.
Now all I have to do is slip in some pictures, and use these cards as fillers. This is going to be a gift for one of my daughter's. She has no interest in scrapbooking, but loves to look at the ones I've made. With a regular photo album all she has to do is slip in the pictures.
See how easy it is to get pictures into albums with the Project Life By Stampin' Up! system? Get going today on your own memory making projects.

Memory Making Monday - Taking The Next Step
Picture 1 shows the only empty spot in our bonus room where I could add a table. The area on the left is my Big Shot station. Our computer desk is on the right.
Picture 2 shows my scrapbooking supplies that I would like to have all in one spot.
Picture 3 is my finished, designated scrapbooking area. I pulled two of the three drawer units from the Big Shot area that were in need of reorganizing anyway. I put embellishments, Project Life cards, photos, and other items that I wanted nearby in the drawers, and even have one empty drawer. I love the consolidation. I let go of a lot that I know I will never use. Feels good!
I have looked through my albums, and decided that the best direction for me to go is a combination of digital, and physical Project Life style scrapbooking. I'm sure I will want to create a traditional page now and then, but that's the beauty of this memory making process. Those traditional pages can be incorporated right into my 12 x 12 family album. It is the Black Faux Leather 12" x 12" pictured on page 145 in the current Stampin' Up! Catalog.
The next step in the process was to organize and prepare the space. I am lucky to have a wonderful craft room. It's pretty well organized for card making and paper crafting, but I didn't have a dedicated scrapbooking station. I think that will help me keep on top of my memory making goals better. I tend to be a scatterbrain when working on projects, and jump from one project to the next without completing them. I am sure this will help me stay on task better.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.

Memory Making Monday - February Paper Pumpkin Project Life Inserts
Hello, and welcome to my Memory Making Monday project. I used my February Paper Pumpkin to make three 4 x 6 card inserts for a Project Life scrapbook page that's in the planning. I only had to alter the cards a little bit, using two card fronts, and one envelope from the kit. I cut the card fronts down to 4" from the original 4 1/4" side, and left the 5 1/2" side as is. That made them 1/2" too short so I matted them with 4" x 6" pieces of Calypso Coral. Take a close look at the card on the left hand side. The tiny 1/8" strips on both ends were the leftover pieces that came from trimming the card in the middle. The January, and 2016 stamps are from the January Paper Pumpkin Kit. I love the matching fonts. I plan on using the card on the right side for journaling. It was cut from one envelope. I am saving the leftover pieces of that envelope because it has a marvelous Pool Party design that can be used in the future.
Are you a fan of Paper Pumpkin or are you ready to try it out?
Right now you can get the 3-month prepaid subscription on sale AND earn a free Sale-A-Bration item of your choice!
If you want to get Paper Pumpkin kits at a discount, I recommend the either of these...

Memory Making Monday - Project Life Photo Rescue Step #1
Hello, and welcome to another Memory Making Monday post. I have been following Becky Higgins, the creator of Project Life, on Instagram. She started a project last week that she called Project Life Photo Rescue. She went to one of her lucky follower's home in Olathe, Kansas last week. Becky spent three days helping Jen organize her scrapbooks, photos, memrobilia, crafting supplies, and more. The end goal was to get her in a great place to continue on her journey on her own. I enjoyed that series of posts, and it sure helped me get things organized in my own mind as to what I want to do with my own memory keeping.
Her first step was to bring all of your scrapbooks into one place. This helps you to be aware of which projects that have been started, and those that are not finished. She said it is really okay to let go of some of those. The pile of albums in the back row are all finished. The ones in the front are not. Seeing mine all together reminded me that I am doing pretty good in some ways, and not so much in others. It helped me make a decision on how to move forward. I decided to start using the PL App, and printing service for a couple of events that I really don't want to give up on. Those are the 2015 Leadership Event, the 2015 Stampin' Up! Convention, and our big cross country move in September. I plan on sticking with my mix of using Project Life, traditional, and some digital in my family album. The point is that I now have a pretty solid game plan. It makes me feel a lot better about my memory making in general. Here's wishing you all feel good about moving onward and upward!

Memory Making Monday - Stamping On Pictures
Did you know that you can stamp directly on photos? Our Basic Black Ink Pad is archival. That makes it perfectly safe to use on photos, and also makes it permanent. I used one of the stamps from the Moments Like These Stamp Set along with the Basic Black Ink to stamp on a picture from my granddaughter's birth. It looks clear, and crisp. The Project Life stamp sets are photopolymer, so that makes them easy to position and see through for the placement you want.
You can earn FREE products from January 5 - March 31. For every $50 you spend (before tax and shipping), you get one FREE! product from the Sale.A.Bration brochure.
