Faux Shutter Card

Make a Faux Shutter Card in minutes the easy way. There's no need to make cuts, or sections in the background as the paper strips do the work for you.

Add a layer of designer paper, or card stock to your base card. This Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper measures 5 1/4" x 4".  Next add your focal image or sentiment (2" x 2" square) at an angle. It can be placed anywhere you want. Next, simple attach 1/4" x 5 1/2" paper strips starting at one corner of the focal image down the side of the paper. You will have to cut off the sides that hang off the paper. Then all you do is add it to your card base, and decorate.

My sentiment comes from the Layering Leaves Stamp Set. I added the two leaves from the Bough Punch, and finished it off with some metallic pearls. Real simple, and pretty.
