Hey there, crafty friends!
I had so much fun working with Sketch #512 from the Facebook group, CASE-ing Tuesday this week! If you're not familiar, CASE-ing Tuesday is a fantastic challenge where we use sketches based on samples from the Stampin’ Up! catalogs—complete with measurements. It’s such a great way to get inspired and jumpstart your creativity!
For my card this week, I featured a stunning gold embossed rose from the new Along These Lines stamp set. Isn't it lovely? The detail really pops against the soft yellow tones I chose, which is a bit of a surprise for me—I don’t usually gravitate toward yellow, but the Floral Delight 12" x 12" paper pack completely won me over. I used just a small scrap for this card, but the print is so pretty it makes a big impact!
Here’s the breakdown:
Card base: Lemon Lolly
Accent layer: Daffodil Delight
DSP: Small scrap from Floral Delight
Sentiment: From the Saying Something Ephemera Pack
Stamp: Along These Lines – gold embossed rose
Extra touch: I added an additional cardstock layer between the base and DSP to give the design a little more definition and dimension.
This sketch layout made it super easy to showcase a few fun elements without overwhelming the card. And I love how the warm yellows give off such a cheerful, summery vibe—maybe I'm becoming a yellow fan after all!
What about you—do you love using yellow in your crafting? Or do you tend to reach for cooler tones?
Thanks for stopping by! I’d love to see what you’re making this week—especially if you’re playing along with CASE-ing Tuesday too. 💛
