Stampin' Up! New Detailed Dragonfly Thinlets Card

Hello, and welcome. I thought I would show you two of the dies that are included in the new Detailed Dragonfly Thinlets Set. This 5 piece set coordinates with the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set. The sentiment on these cards comes from that. Bundle the two together and save 10%.

I used watercolor paper for the backgrounds, then scribbled random shapes on the card on the left, and lines on the right using Watercolor Pencils. I blended the colors together using an Aqua Painter. I flicked dots of Gold Wink of Stella on both. The dragonflies were mounted using Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Card Measurements:
Rich Razzleberry Card Base: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Basic Black Card Layer: 4 5/8" x 3 3/8"
Watercolor Paper Card Layer:  4 1/2" x 3 1/4"

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Watercolor Paper

Ink: Basic Black

Stamp: Dragonfly Dreams

Accessories:  Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies, Big Shot, Watercolor Pencils, Aqua Painter, Gold Wink of Stella, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Purchase the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle at $46.75, then add a pack of Watercolor Paper for $5. This brings your total to $51.75, and will qualify you to select one FREE item from our Sale-A-Bration Brochure. You can view the catalog here by clicking on the link on the right.

New Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams Card

Have you seen the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle in the new Occasions Catalog? I think the stamp set, and matching Thinlets Dies are sure to be a favorite. The idea for this card came from the card pictured right on the Occasions Catalog. I changed it up a bit, and truly love the results. I usually don't add this many details on a card, but it is for a very special person whose birthday is this week.

I started with a Daffodil Delight card base. I stamped the dots design element stamp directly on the card base with Crushed Curry Ink, then immediately covered it with clear embossing powder. You can use embossing powder with most of our ink pads if you're quick enough. It really adds a nice detail. I used Crushed Curry Ink for the dragonfly as well, then cut her out with the matching die. The second layer is another die from the set. I cut it out with our Vellum Card Stock, then cut the body off to just leave the wings. The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark, then embossed with Pewter Embossing Powder. She is layered on one of the labels from the Lots of Labels Thinlets Dies that was embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I sponged just a little Sahara Sand Ink on the front. This was a fun, fun card to make!

Here is a list of the supplies I used:

I used a 6" x 6" square of one of the pretty papers from our Birthday Bouquet pack. The sentiment is from last month's Paper Pumpkin kit. These pouches can be used for any occasion. Try one for yourself!

Number of Years Stamp Set

I made this card for my grandson's birthday. He has always been obsessed with golf, and they even had his "Par Tee" at the golf course this year. It's so cute to see little people with real golf clubs. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him on TV when he gets older.

I used the Number of Years Stamp Set for the sentiment, and the matching Large Numbers Framelits Die Set for the number 4. It really came out cute.

Double Dutch Fold Card

I found this wonderful card on Pinterest, and knew right away that I wanted to make one. Our FREE Honeycomb Happiness Set from Sale-A-Bration coordinated beautifully with the new Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper Pack. Of course the sweet little honeycomb embellishment really tops it off.

I found the tutorial for the Double Dutch Fold on Splitcoast Stampers. That site is almost as good as Pinterest. Actually, they are both just as fabulous in their own way. Visit their site for tons of stamping ideas.

Stampin' Up! And Many More

I really like sentiments with mixed fonts, and that's no fooling!

This happy birthday sentiment comes from the And Many More Stamp Set. It comes with 23 sentiments, and they all have mixed fonts. What a great set. You can find it on page 20 in the main catalog. It is a very versatile set. A must have for any occasion.  I paired it up with the Petal Potpourri Stamp Set to make this birthday card. Very sweet and simple.

I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 8.5 x 11,  folded in half. I stamped the flower part of the stamp in Crisp Cantaloupe three times on a piece of Whisper White that measured 2.5 x 4.25. The center of the flower is second generation stamped using the same Crisp Cantaloupe. Next the sentiment was stamped using Memento Ink. I rounded the corners with our Project Life Corner Rounder. I added the Crisp Cantaloupe Thick Baker's Twine to the back by taping one side down then looping it around a few times. The middle stamped mat is popped up on Dimensionals. I added the sequins last with a tiny dab of Mono Two Way Glue. The last touch was adding a piece of In Color DSP that was cut with the Envelope Liner Framelits. That really adds a lot of polish to the project.

Thank you for stopping by today. Don't walk under any ladders!

Monogram Note Card

Hello, and thank you for visiting. I designed this simple note card for my husband to use for thank you notes. Unfortunately, my mother in law passed away recently. Our friends and family have been so kind and caring. This pretty card is perfect for passing along our gratitude.

I used a minimal amount of products for this card. The base is from our Note Cards & Envelopes pack. I used two of the Ovals Framelits for the black and white panels. The stamps are from the Sophisticated Serifs Stamp Set. Quite easy to put together.

I have a current Hostess Code for you. Please use the code:  GVT7C2GH. If your order is $150, please don't use the code, as the hostess benefits will go directly to you.

Stampin' Up! For Peep's Sake

I had back to back Stamp Club workshops this past weekend. Both made this sweet Easter card. I found it on Pinterest. We also made a matching basket with the Berry Basket Die. We used the For Peep's Sake Stamp Set for both. It's definitely a favorite of mine. So fun, and cute.

I used Stampin' Write Markers to color directly on the egg border stamp. All you have to do is use the brush side of the marker to color the stamp surface. After they are colored you have to huff with your breath to add moisture back to the ink, then stamp immediately. I added a tiny bit of glitter to the eggs for more pizzazz.

We are almost to end of the Sale-A-Bration Campaign. With a number of stamp sets and accessories to choose from, you can build up your collection with freebies. Choose one SAB item for every $50 (before tax and shipping) of Stampin' Up! products. Order from my online store 24/7.

I have a current Hostess Code for you. Please use the code:  GVT7C2GH. If your order is $150, please don't use the code, as the hostess benefits will go directly to you.

Thanks for dropping by today. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Butterfly Basics Birthday

Hello Monday! Today's card came out so pretty and elegant, but it was fairly quick and easy to make. I started out with the Whisper White panel. I cut out the butterfly, then set it aside. I stamped the images on the panel, then adhered it to the designer paper. I added the sequins by dotting a tiny amount of Mono Glue directly to the panel. I finished it off with a medium pearl. I really like the way it turned out. Try one for yourself.

There are only a couple of weeks left in our Sale-A-Bration campaign. Do you have everything you want? If not, there is still time. Simply place an online order of at least $50 (before tax and shipping), then select your free item. If I can help you in any way, please let me know.

Thank you for joining me today.
