Two in One

Today's project was created with two challenges in mind. The sketch is from Lauren's My Time to Create - Sketch challenge, and the other is for Our Creative Corner using just shades of purple. This card took much longer to create than it should have. With all the papers and ribbons I have, I found I have little to no purples that match. I resorted to lightly spraying bleach on the cardstock for the corner pieces. I also had to color my ribbon with a Copic to make it match. I agonized over cutting into my new Stampin Up dp that Nora brought me yesterday. (I know, I know, it's just paper!) After I finished I now realize that I should have left more of the dp showing..........oh well, next time.

The stamped sentiment is from Penny Black, the dp from Paper Trey and Stampin Up. I used an EK corner punch. Thanks for looking!

  1. Hey Jean great job on the sketch challenge AND the purple one. You hit it on the head when you said it's ahrd to match purples. THe ones I have found that match the best are the PTI purple papers and ribbons. Cute card - thanks so much for participating. Hope you'll come back and play next week with a different challenge.
