Add Shimmer & Shine to Your Paper Crafting Projects ✨

Want to add a little extra sparkle and shine to your paper crafting projects? In my latest YouTube video, I’m sharing an easy technique using Stampin’ Up!’s Golden Glow Shimmer Brush and a little vegetable glycerin.

Shimmer Brushes are fabulous to use just as they are, and they come in five beautiful colors: Golden Glow, Hydrangea Hue, Peaceful Pine, Barely Blush, and Crisp Cantaloupe. They add gorgeous shimmer and shine to your projects with very little effort.

In the video, I show you how to make the color a bit more subtle when you want to use it as a background. By mixing a small amount of the Shimmer Brush color with vegetable glycerin, you can thin the color and make it more translucent—while keeping that beautiful shimmer at full strength!

Vegetable glycerin is a natural product made for use on skin, so it’s gentle to work with and won’t harm your crafting surfaces. When used sparingly, it also won’t warp your cardstock and dries fairly quickly.

It’s such a simple way to create a soft, shimmery background without overpowering the rest of your design. And, of course, you can use the Shimmer Brushes straight from the bottle when you want more intense color and sparkle.

✨ Check out my YouTube video to see exactly how I use this technique!

If you enjoy the video, please like, subscribe, share, and leave me a comment. I’d love to know if you give this technique a try!

What project will you add a little extra sparkle to? ✨

Happy Stamping,
