Jean's Jewel - Painters Tape Technique

Today's jewel was inspired by many different examples I've seen on Pinterest, and various other places online. Using painters tape seems to be the "in" thing. You can use Washi tape for this technique as well, but I'm stingy with mine, and don't want it to get thrown away. The idea is to use a low tack tape. Painters tape fits the bill, and can be found very easily. All you do is tear off a piece of the tape, lay it across your ink pad, then rub across it lightly to pick up the ink. Pick it up gently then simply lay it on your cardstock, and rub it once again. Once you're finished just toss the tape. I went ahead and made two using three colors - Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, and So Saffron. As you can see I placed the colors in different order. They came out so different. I plan on using this technique often as it's really quite simple. I chose the Wetlands Stamp Set (Clear #126697), because nature images look great with this technique as a background. I do hope you'll try it.
Thank you for stopping by!
