Memory Making Monday - Works In Progress
Hello, and welcome! I am happy to report that I can see a light at the end of my own personal memory making catch up projects. I have been trying to follow the advice that Becky Higgins has been sharing. She is the creator of the Project Life System. I am by no means finished, but this is the best shape I've been in for several years.
The page at the top is one of my first Project Life creations. Sure it was easy to slip the photos into the pocket pages, and add journaling to the cards, but I had already gotten off on the wrong foot. I had about 90 photos printed in true digital style. That meant each picture had about a 3/8" white border on the bottom. I covered most of them up with card stock, or Washi Tape like the one above. That meant an extra step for quite a few of my pages because I didn't want to get the pictures re-printed. Oh well, such as life. I had three Project Life by Stampin' Up! pocket pages, and one traditional 12 X 12 page, front and back for my grandson's 2nd birthday. While I love the pages, and won't do anything to change them, I have made quite the transformation. I have found that I get just as much satisfaction by using fewer pictures to preserve my memories.
The second page was made with the Project Life App on my iPhone. It is 8 x 8, and has been ordered along with 12 other pages that I made with the App. I am so pleased that I will simply slip them into my album when my order arrives. I will share that with you when they come.
I still have some catching up to do with my 2014 - 2015 family album, but now I know that it will get finished. By sticking to my goals, and going forward with my present system in place, I will catch up for good. You can do the same thing with your own memory making journey. I'll be happy to help in any way I can.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Memorial Day.
