Easy DIY Paper Easter Basket

Creating a sweet little Easter treat holder doesn’t have to be complicated! Today I’m sharing how to make an easy paper Easter Basket using the Easter Basket Bundle and the coordinating Easter Joy 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper. This simple project is perfect for table favors, small treats, or thoughtful handmade gifts.

๐Ÿฐ Easy Paper Easter Basket Tutorial

✂️ Supplies:

  • Easter Basket Bundle

  • Easter Joy 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper

  • Paper Trimmer & Scoring Tool

  • Bone Folder

  • Tombow Multipurpose Glue or Tear & Tape

  • Cardstock (optional for base)

๐Ÿ“ Basket Measurements & Scoring

  1. Start with a 6" x 6" piece of designer paper.

  2. Score at 2" and 4".

  3. Turn the paper and score again at 2" and 4".

  4. Burnish all score lines with a bone folder.

✂️ Cutting

  • On opposite sides, cut the middle tabs up to the score lines.

  • These will form the sides of your basket.

๐Ÿงบ Assembling the Basket

  • Using Tombow Multipurpose Glue or Tear & Tape, glue the right side down first, then fold and glue the left side over it.

  • This creates the box shape of your basket.

๐ŸŽ€ Adding a Decorative Base (Optional)

If you’d like to layer designer paper onto a cardstock base, cut:

  • Six pieces measuring 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" squares.

These panels fit perfectly on each outside section of the basket for added color and texture.

๐Ÿช„ Basket Handle

  • Cardstock strip: 6" x 3/4"

  • Designer paper layer: 6" x 1/2"

Adhere the designer paper strip to the cardstock handle, then attach to the inside of the basket to finish it off beautifully.
