There’s something special about sending a little sunshine to someone who could use it! ☀️ I created this Double Vision Card for the Sending Sunshine Instagram Hop, where our goal each month is to share positive and encouraging messages and inspire others to reach out.
Sometimes a simple smile, compliment, check-in, helping hand, or encouraging message can make someone’s day. And just as importantly, we hope to remind you to take care of yourself—you are worth it! 💛
Creating the Double Vision Card
For my card, I used the beautiful Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper, which will be available in the new catalog beginning September 1st. I love how the pattern does all the work of creating a cheerful focal point!
The sentiment comes from another upcoming new product, Painted Pumpkins. I stamped it onto the smallest die from the Everyday Arches Dies.
The Double Vision technique is surprisingly easy!
- Cut your Designer Series Paper into ½-inch strips.
- Keep the strips in their original order so you can easily put the design back together.
- Adhere the first strip directly to your card layer.
- Raise every other strip to create the “double vision” effect.
I used Foam Adhesive Strips to pop up the alternating strips. They made this technique much easier than trying to add several individual Stampin’ Dimensionals to each strip.
I love how this simple technique gives Designer Series Paper a whole new look!
Whether you send a handmade card, make a phone call, offer a compliment, or simply check in with someone, I hope this project inspires you to send a little sunshine today. 🌻
Be sure to check out the other projects in the Sending Sunshine Instagram Hop for more positive messages and creative inspiration!
