One Sketch, Two More Cards! October 2026 Sheetload of Cards

Did you know you can use the Sheetload of Cards sketch to make individual cards, too? You don't have to make the entire set of eight! I used the measurements from Crafty Al's October 2026 Sheetload of Cards to create two more cards, this time using scraps from my stash. Both cards came together in just minutes!

I did stray from the original sketch a bit, but that's one of the things I love about card sketches. They give you a starting point, and you can make them your own!

Card One: Bloom Boutique Birthday Card

For my first card, I used scraps from the Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper. I love finding ways to use up those leftover pieces of patterned paper rather than letting them sit in my stash.

I added a reverse foil Happy Birthday sentiment made with the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies. The shiny sentiment adds a special touch, and I finished the card with three 2026–2028 In Color Butterfly Embellishments.

It's a cheerful birthday card that came together quickly with supplies I already had on hand!

Card Two: Moonlit Flora Birthday Card

For my second card, I reached for scraps from the Moonlit Flora paper pack. The pretty patterned paper made a lovely background for my silver-foiled sentiment.

The sentiment was created using the Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies. I embellished the card with two butterflies that I colored using the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush, along with three sparkly pearls.

The shimmer and sparkle add a little extra elegance to this design. Even though I changed the original sketch, the measurements made it easy to put the card together in just a few minutes.

One Sketch, So Many Possibilities!

These two cards are a great reminder that you don't have to make a whole batch of cards to benefit from a Sheetload sketch. You can use the measurements to create a single card, use up your scraps, and change the design to suit your supplies and style.

So, whether you make one card or eight, you'll be glad you did! Happy crafting!
