SASSC35

I created this card for the Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge that came out last Thursday. I'm still pretty far behind as far as getting to paper craft as much as I'd like. We did get a new PC, and that has helped a lot, but getting used to a new operating system is slowing me down a bit. I'm pretty computer challenged so learning "new" ways to do things takes time for me. Anyway, I love how this card came out. My initial design didn't work out the way I thought, but I love the results. I used the Very Thankful Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! This is a special set in that SU contributes $2.00 from each set sold to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. I colored the peacock's tail with a blender pen that was inked from a Bermuda Bay ink pad lid. I also stamped the circles twice. Once with black then once with Bermuda Bay so that I could pop two of them on dimensionals. I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the tail and two of the circles. The Bermuda Bay cardstock mat is embossed with the Pattern 1 embossing folder. After adding the silver brads, I popped the two image mats on dimensionals as well.

Now, I'm hoping to get busy with Danni's Flutterby Wednesday challenge. I have another new stamp set in mind.

Thanks for stopping by, Happy Hump Day!
