SIMPLE BOOKBINDING CARD

I created today's card using a beautiful piece of paper from the Hues Of Happiness 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper Pack. The stamp is from the Limited Edition Stamp Set. The stamp set includes the Stampin' Up! copyright image, but some of the images can stand alone.

The paper is so pretty that not much is needed to create a beautiful card. I used our Thick Whisper White for the card base, and made it into a Bookbinding Card. 

All you need is a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of card stock scored at 4 1/4", and 5 1/2".  Fold the card in half at 5 1/2", and fold back the 4 1/4" score line for the card opening. Glue the hinge down on the left side. Ribbon can also be added. Add a 1" x 4" piece of paper to the folded side, and a 4" piece to the main panel. Then decorate as desired. I added a frame made with the new Stylish Shapes dies cut from Starry Sky. I simply lined up one square die into a larger one to make the frame.

I stamped the image in Starry Sky Ink, and cut it out with the matching size square from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I made a little Vellum Envelope to put behind the image. To finish off the card I added three butterflies from the Brushed Brass Butterflies pack. These adhesive backed beauties are light, and flat, so they are perfect for a card.
