There’s nothing quite like crafting with good friends, and I recently put together a sweet little mini album to capture some unforgettable moments from my Stampin’ Up! events with my beloved “Fab Four Friends.” I wanted to create something compact, meaningful, and full of character—and this project checked every box!
The Inspiration
After our latest gathering, I found myself with little bits of memorabilia—ticket stubs, photos, funny quotes, and even a few doodles we passed around during a demo (you know the ones!). Rather than tuck them away in a drawer, I decided to bring them to life in a mini album that reflects both our creativity and our friendship.
The Construction
I used Stampin’ Up!’s Flip Flap Memory Protectors in two sizes: 4" x 4" and 3" x 3". These protectors were the perfect size to hold small photos, handwritten notes, and mementos from our events.
The base of the album is made from a piece of Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper, cut to 10 1/2" x 4 3/4" and scored in the middle at 5 1/4". This floral print gave the album a bright, artsy vibe—just like our time together.
To give it structure, I created a spine from a coordinating piece cut at 5 1/4" x 1 1/2" and scored at 3/4". This gave just the right amount of room to nestle in the flaps and give the album a book-like feel.
The Personal Touches
I layered in memorabilia from our events—little things that make this album extra special: name tags, pieces of stamped cardstock, a mini color swatch from our last product showcase, and handwritten notes we exchanged. I even used grid paper cut down to fit for my journaling.
Why I Love It
This mini album is a tangible reminder of why I love Stampin’ Up!—it’s not just about the products (though those are amazing!), it’s about the people. The laughter, the shared creativity, the encouragement—it’s all here between these little pages.
If you haven’t tried making a mini album yet, I highly recommend it. It’s a beautiful way to preserve the joy of your crafting friendships—and it makes a great project for your next event!
Happy Stamping & Memory Making!
Let me know if you make a Flip Flap Mini Album —I’d love to share and see what you create too. 💕
