Craft Roulette Episode 331 was another fun challenge—and this time, the ever-popular May May Helms was the guest! I always enjoy seeing what everyone creates from the four random parameters.
For this episode, the Project was a 4" x 8" Card, which I believe is a Craft Roulette specialty. My finished card measures 4" x 8", making it quite a bit larger than the cards I usually make.
The Craft Roulette Parameters
๐จ Colors – Excited
I think my bright pinks, yellows, and greens definitely qualify as excited colors! I used the cheerful colors from the Everyday Essentials Designer Series Paper, which were perfect for creating a bright and happy card.
๐ Element – Cold or Chilly
What says cold and refreshing better than lemonade and watermelon? I used ephemera pieces featuring these summery treats to bring the "Cold or Chilly" prompt to life.
The sentiment from the Sweet Words & Labels Stamp Set was absolutely perfect for this card, too. I paired it with pieces from the Meant For You Ephemera Pack for some extra fun.
๐งต Random – Stitches
The Stitches prompt was an easy one to incorporate. The square dies and the sentiment banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies both have stitched borders, adding that little bit of texture and detail the card needed.
A BIG Card!
I'll admit—I wasn't thrilled about making such a large card! A 4" x 8" card is definitely outside my usual comfort zone, especially since I don't have an envelope that size.
But that's not really a problem because I can make one! ๐
And that's one of the things I enjoy most about Craft Roulette. The prompts force me to think outside the box, try something different, and use supplies that might otherwise be sitting in my craft room waiting for their turn.
Join me on Youtube to see how breaking away from a standard size card is still FUNN!
If you haven't watched Craft Roulette, you should join us sometime! It's a fun challenge show that airs Friday evenings on YouTube at 6:10 Central Time.
I love seeing where the four random parameters take me each week. Sometimes the result is exactly what I imagined—and sometimes it takes me somewhere completely unexpected!
That's part of the fun of crafting. ๐
Until next time, keep creating and have fun thinking outside the box!
Happy Stamping,
Jean
