Craft Roulette Episode 280 – Thinking of You Card

This week’s Craft Roulette challenge (Episode 280) had some fun parameters to work with:

• Project: Thinking of You

• Colors: Hometown (I chose blue, yellow, brown, and grey for the birds that remind me of home)

• Element: Cup or Glass (window has glass in it)

• Random: Add a doodle (I added a little doodle to each corner of the card!)

For my design, I used a small piece of the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper—one of my all-time favorites! The colorful birds are so detailed, and many of them can even be fussy cut for extra versatility. The pretty bird scene was placed behind a window die to tie in the “glass” parameter.

For the background, I used one of the Textured Note Dies, which gave a lovely layered effect. I also added a sweet little cat die cut, though I’ll admit—I’m much more of a dog person! I’ll be on the lookout for the perfect dog die to add to my collection. How about you—team cat or team dog?

The finishing touch was the sentiment “Thinking of You,” which tied it all together beautifully.
