This week’s Craft Roulette challenge (Episode 287) was so much fun! The parameters were:
Project: Saying Hi
Colors: Crisp
Element: Sun
Random: Pennants
For my card, I used the Party Alphabet Dies to cut out a bold Cherry Cobbler “Hi.” I just love the stitched detail on these dies, and their size makes them perfect for a strong focal point.
To create my Crisp color palette, I pulled from the gorgeous Fall leaf clusters in red, orange, and yellow—leftovers from my September Fall For Toile Paper Pumpkin Kit. They really brought that warm seasonal feel.
The Daffodil Delight card base and coordinating designer paper layer were both cut with the Party Banners Dies to satisfy the Pennants parameter. (Tip: to cut a folding card with your dies, place the top card fold just beneath the edge of the die so the fold remains intact!)
For the Sun element, I added it to the inside of the card alongside the sentiment. I also had an extra matching envelope from the Paper Pumpkin kit—perfect for completing the look.
This was such a fun card to create! Craft Roulette airs Friday evenings at 6:10 Central Time—join us and see what you can come up with, too!
