Craft Roulette Episode 323 – A7 Card
It's time for another round of Craft Roulette, and this week was Episode 323! The parameters were fun to work with and inspired me to create a colorful 5" x 7" A7 card featuring one of my favorite new stamp sets.
Project: A7 Card
My card measures 5" x 7", giving me plenty of room to showcase all the details.
Colors: Pretty
When I heard the color prompt was Pretty, I immediately thought of my granddaughters' favorite colors. I chose shades of rose, pink, yellow, blue, and coral to create a cheerful and feminine design. The colors in the Beautiful Ordinary Day Designer Series Paper were perfect for this challenge.
Element: Photo Booth
For the photo booth element, I used a Polaroid-style picture frame accented with a photo strip border. It was a fun way to incorporate the theme while highlighting my focal image.
Random: Geometric Shapes
Geometric shapes were easy to find throughout my card. The Plaid Embossing Folder creates a wonderful pattern of rectangles and squares, while the Beautiful Ordinary Day Designer Series Paper includes circles, hexagons, and other geometric designs.
The adorable snail is from the June Product of the Month, the Wild Bunch Stamp Set. I wanted her to be extra fancy, so I paper pieced her shell using coordinating patterned paper. I love how much personality that simple technique adds!
Did you know you can get the Wild Bunch Stamp Set for just $5 with a minimum $75 order from my online store during June? It's such a fun set for creating cute and whimsical cards.
I look forward to Craft Roulette every week. The challenges encourage me to use my supplies in ways I never would have imagined, and I always enjoy seeing what everyone creates from the same four parameters.
