π CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch #523 – A Fall-Inspired Hello Card π
Hi friends!
Today I’m sharing a card I made for CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch #523 over on Facebook. If you haven’t checked out the group yet, it’s a wonderful way to spark your creativity — they post a new sketch every other week along with suggested measurements and the Stampin’ Up! catalog page it was inspired by. So helpful!
Here’s my take on this week’s sketch:
𧑠Card Details:
Card Base: Cajun Craze cardstock – a warm, earthy color that always makes me think of fall.
Designer Series Paper: I followed the sketch measurements and cut a 3 1/2" x 5" piece of Timeless Plaid DSP for the background. The mix of textures and tones adds a classic seasonal touch.
Frame: I die cut a Cajun Craze frame using the Gallery Blooms Dies. The detail in this die set is so pretty and really anchors the layout.
Florals: The charming floral elements come from the Impressions Abloom stamp set. I love how these images add a soft contrast to the bold frame.
Sentiment: I stamped “Hello” from the Simply Said stamp set directly onto a cut strip — clean and simple, just like the sketch called for.
Embellishments: To finish it off, I added three gold Low Profile Dots for just a touch of shine and elegance.
π» Why I Love This Card:
This card reminds me that fall is on its way — and not a moment too soon! It’s been so hot here in North Carolina lately, and I’ve been more than happy to stay indoors and spend time at my craft table. There’s nothing like a cozy creative session to help you forget the heat outside!
π‘ Join the Fun:
If you’re ever stuck for ideas or just want a fun challenge, give CASE-ing Tuesday a try! It’s a great way to stretch your creativity, use what you have, and get inspiration from others. Plus, it’s always fun to see how everyone interprets the same sketch differently!
Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if you’ve tried this week’s sketch — I’d love to see your take. π
Happy Stamping!
– Jean
