This week’s Craft Roulette challenge inspired me to create something a little different from my usual cards! For Episode 343, I made a Mini Ephemera Folder using the adorable Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper. It’s a fun little folder designed to hold ephemera that I can gift to a crafty friend.
I used my Easy Card Holder from last week as inspiration for the design, adapting the idea into a mini folder using a single 6" x 6" piece of Designer Series Paper.
Of course, I had to include everyone's favorite bear, Winnie the Pooh! I added a Pooh tag to the front and a Tigger tag to the inside. I also recently purchased a new House at Pooh Corner sticker book, so I couldn't resist adding some of those stickers to my project.
Craft Roulette Episode 343 Parameters
Here's how I incorporated the four parameters into my project:
Project – Include a Tag: I added a Pooh tag to the front of my folder and a Tigger tag to the inside.
Colors – Library: The rich colors in my Designer Series Paper can be found on the spines of books throughout a library. I love how this parameter encouraged me to look at colors in a different way!
Element – New: I used stickers from my recently purchased House at Pooh Corner sticker book.
Random – Pencil(s): I colored Pooh Bear on the front, along with the grass beneath him, using Watercolor Pencils. A Blender Pen helped soften the pencil lines and blend the colors for a smoother finish.
A Little Something to Gift
Inside the folder, I added coordinating die cuts from the Designer Series Paper, tags, and some of the new stickers. It's a sweet little collection of embellishments to share with a crafty friend!
I love how this project came together, and it's a great way to turn a small piece of Designer Series Paper into something useful and fun to give away.
