 🍐 Painterly Pears Card Trio – Using Just Half a Sheet!

Hi Crafty Friends!
Today I’m sharing a fun and easy way to stretch your Designer Series Paper—specifically, the stunning Painterly PearsDSP—by creating not one, but three beautiful cards from just half a sheet! 🎨✨

This particular sheet is ideal for cardmaking. The artistic pear design is concentrated around the perimeter, leaving plenty of clean white space in the center, perfect for layering and stamping. It’s a cardmaker’s dream!

🧡 Cutting the Paper

You can make six A2 portrait-style cards from one sheet by cutting each side at 5 1/2", then slicing the two strips into 4" wide pieces. So far, I’ve completed three—and I’m excited to show you how they came together!

✨ Card 1 – "Hello Friend"

This sweet and simple card features a stamped sentiment from this month’s Sweeter With You Paper Pumpkin Kit. I used Misty Moonlight Ink to stamp directly onto the DSP layer.

🖼️ The “Hello Friend” panel is die cut using the largest die from the Perennial Postage set, giving it a lovely stitched border. It’s mounted on a Darling Duckling layer (5 1/4" x 4"), then attached to a Mossy Meadow card base for a rich, grounded look.

🌿 Inside, I added a clean 5 1/4" x 4" white layer, embellished with a 1 1/4" x 4 1/4" strip of leftover DSP for a coordinating touch.

✨ Card 2 – "Sweeter With You"

This card uses another sentiment from the Sweeter With You Paper Pumpkin kit. Again, I stamped it in Misty Moonlightdirectly onto the DSP, allowing the soft painted pears to shine around it.

The layout is simple, but the elegant background and bold color combo make this card feel special with very little effort.

✨ Card 3 – "Good Friend"

For this final card in the trio, I returned to a Mossy Meadow card base and added a stamped sentiment from the Perfectly Pears stamp set. The “Good Friend” greeting is stamped in Mossy Meadow onto the smallest die from the Perennial Postage set for a tight, clean focal point.

🪢 I added a small piece of the Mossy Meadow & Gold Trim ribbon for a soft shimmer, then popped the sentiment panel up over the crosshatch die-cut (also from the Perfectly Pears Dies) for added texture.

💎 To finish it off, I added three Low Profile Sparkle Dots, which give just the right amount of shine without overpowering the natural design.
