There’s nothing quite like a little sunshine to brighten someone’s day! ☀️
I’m excited to be participating in the Sending Sunshine Instagram Hop, where our goal each month is to share positive and encouraging messages. We hope our projects inspire you to reach out to the people around you—whether that means offering a smile to someone who needs one, complimenting a stranger, checking in with a friend or family member, lending a helping hand, or simply reminding yourself to take care of you because you are worth it.
For my A2 card, I combined some beautiful products with one of my favorite hot foiling techniques—reverse foiling!
I started with a Barely Blush card base, then added a Basic Black layer and a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Everyday Essentials pack. I used the two largest dies from the Everyday Arches Dies to create the layers.
And did you notice the foiling on the Designer Series Paper? Yes, you can foil on Designer Series Paper! It’s a fun way to add even more shine and interest to your cards.
For the focal point, I used the Botanical Glow, Butterfly Flight, and Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies. The butterflies are actually created using the reverse foiling portion of the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil Dies. Instead of throwing away that leftover foil, you can use it to create a beautiful, slightly different look!
If you enjoy hot foiling—or you're just getting started—I have several hot foiling tips and hacks on my YouTube channel to help make the process easier. I especially love finding ways to get more from my supplies and making those foil scraps work for me!
Now it’s time to hop over to Instagram and see what the other creators have shared. You’re sure to find plenty of inspiration and positive messages along the way.
And when you’re done hopping, don’t forget to spread some sunshine of your own! 💛
A kind word, a thoughtful message, a helping hand, or a simple smile can make a bigger difference than we realize.
Who can you encourage today?
Happy Stamping,
Jean
