I’m excited to share my submission for Craft Roulette Episode 290! The wheel spun up some fun parameters this week, and I loved how this cheerful card came together.
Episode 290 Parameters:
Project: Card for a Friend 💌
Colors: Bright Colors (I chose Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight, and Granny Apple Green from the Brights Color Family)
Element: Happy (my sentiment says “happy hello”)
Random: Partial Image (the flowers on the blue paper are partial images)
This is one of my favorite easy card designs—it’s perfect for using up paper scraps!
My card base is a top-fold Daffodil Delight, and the 5-1/4" x 4" Basic White layer is embossed with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder for some lovely texture.
Each of the three DSP strips measures 4-1/2" x 1-1/2" and comes from the Brights 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack. The bee and sentiment are from the Choose Happy Stamp Set, stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Stylish Shapes die-cut circle. I colored the bee with Dark Daffodil Delight and Azure Afternoon Stampin’ Blends.
The image is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on an Azure Afternoon piece punched with the To The Point Label Punch. The Granny Apple Green leaves are die-cut using pieces from the Hugs Abloom and Abundant Joy Paper Pumpkin Add-On die sets.
This card will definitely brighten my friend’s day — and it was so fun to make!
