This week’s Craft Roulette Challenge (#289) was such a fun one! The parameters were:
Project: Dutch Door
Colors: Bird Feeder (I chose pink for petunias, yellow for finches, and a robin’s reddish-orange)
Element: October (I went with a Halloween theme)
Random: Polka Dots (brought back my trusty Swiss Dots Embossing Folder)
For my card, I started with a Petunia Pop card base (8 ½” x 11”), folded at 4 ¼” just like a standard A2 card. To create the Dutch Door Fold, I trimmed the front panel at 2 ¾” and cut up the fold to remove the top section.
On the lower flap, I added a house image from the Spooky Sweet Designer Series Paper Pack, layered on a Basic Blackpiece measuring 4 3/8” x 3 ½”. The cute die cuts and sentiment inside are all from the Spooky Sweet Bundle.
To finish it off, I stamped the adorable cat on the envelope in Petunia Pop—the perfect final touch!
This was such a fun card to make, and I loved how all the parameters came together.
If you haven’t watched Craft Roulette, tune in Friday evenings at 6:10pm Central on YouTube—it’s always a creative adventure, and you never know what the wheel will bring!
